Retirement Gift Ideas

  • Watches – This is a gift that is nearly expected at some places, when a person retires. If you know that the boss is not buying the retiree a watch, you may want to go in with a few coworkers and put your money together to buy a nice one. While you may not be able to afford a Zenith, you can still find a nice one available by Tag, Movado or Fossil.
  • Fishing Gear – If the retiree has been doing nothing but talking about all the fishing they are going to do, then you can simply get them gear they can get some use out of. This could include a rod and reel combination, lures, tackle box or even a fish finder, like the Garmin Echo 100 Fishfinder.
  • Golf Stuff – If the person you are shopping for is a golfer, then you have it easy. Balls, tees, personalized towels or visors are all easy ideas. Alternatively, you can find some pretty fun novelty golf items, such as balls that wobble, stream or explode.
  • Wine Supplies – Does the retiree like to enjoy a nice bottle of wine? Well, they will have a lot more time to enjoy a few glasses without having to worry about getting up in the morning now. You can buy a chiller, electric wine opener, aerator, novelty stoppers or even a wine cellar for their home bar.
  • Frame – Chances are good that now they will have time to take a few vacations or spend time with their grand kids. So, a nice frame is a perfect gift. There are large collage ones available that will create a nice art piece on a wall.
  • Camera – If you know they don’t have a nice camera, now is the time to get them one. This will allow them to capture all the special moments of retirement.
  • Year of Wishes Candles – If you are looking for a gift for coworkers who are retiring, but you want something a little different, the Year of Wishes Candles is perfect. A tiny keepsake becomes revealed when these candles are burned. Each candle has a long burn life of 30 hours, and the set includes 12 candles and a glass tray, as well as tweezers to retrieve the charm with.
